Hydrogen Production (Overview)

The production of Hydrogen can be achieved using different methods, that use different sources like: natural gas, oil, coal and water. Some of them, starting from fossil fuels, can’t be considered in line with the commitments taken during the COP 26 Summit, concerning the zero CO2 emission targets.

So, actually, the method the better suit these targets is the Electrolysis of the Water, that starting from Water produces only Hydrogen and Oxygen.

In this case, if we use, as source of energy, electricity produced by renewable energy (Aeolic, Solar, Hydroelectric, etc.), this process can be considered completely clean and totally in compliance with the CO2 zero emission commitments.

You can find more technical details about this specific topic at the page Electrolysis of the Water.
